Another Kreskin story, this one from Brandon Tartikoff’s memoir “The Last Great Ride”:
“When I was twenty-two and working at WTNH in New Haven, we once had the Amazing Kreskin on one of our talk shows. Kreskin astounded the live studio audience with his inexplicable feats of mentalism, telling them secrets about themselves and correctly indicating where they’d hidden certain objects on the set. I was truly impressed, and I went up to him right after the show to tell him so.
“I introduced myself as the station’s promotion manager and said, ‘Wow, you were great.’
“‘Thanks, kid,’ he said. ‘Hey — can you tell me where the men’s room is?’

“For a long moment I just stood there, stunned.
“‘You mean,’ I finally said, ‘you don’t know?’”
