  1. I think the comic is sarcastically displaying proof that sweatbands actually serve some function to improve your athletic performance as opposed to just being a fashion statement. Wristbands are ostensibly designed to keep your hands dry by preventing sweat from running down on them, yet many pro athletes push them up to their forearms or even their biceps. Dusty Baker insisted on wearing them to *manage* baseball games.

  2. Sweatbands keep the sweat out of your eyes. With the sweatband he can see well enough to return the ball. Without the sweatband he missed.

But what is the ‘DUHHHHH” about ???

  3. I think the point is that (and read this with dripping sarcasm, please) EVERYONE knows that wristbands aren’t just a fashion, they really make you play better, right? I mean, look at that guy! WITH the wristbands, he makes the shot no problem. WITHOUT them? Well duuuuuuuuhhhh! *insert eye roll*

  4. I’m going to go out and buy a headband and wristbands post haste. For added performance, I think I’ll go with sweatbands on my ankles.

  5. Buy our sweatbands and your
    tennis game will improve.
    Maybe you love life, too.

  6. Yeah but what’s the funny?

  7. Sometimes there just isn’t one.

I read the “DUHHH” as just sort of an emphasizer of the ineptness of the player without the sweat bands. “See how bad you will perform if you don’t use the product? People who don’t use them are too stupid to even speak articulately.”
