No Pink Ponies

No Pink PoniesJust thought I’d mention… I’ve been finding No Pink Ponies, about a comic book geek who goes to extremes to be near the man she thinks she’s in love with, to be both clever and funny; and it’s just taken a sudden turn for the weird.
The strip is about a year and a half old, and reading it from the beginning is highly recommended (we’re only talking about maybe 100 strips).

  1. This week? I can’t get past July 31st. Or is that what you meant?

Thanks for another fine recommendation. I’m also still reading Frazz.

  2. Okay, I should have said “it’s just taken a sudden turn for the weird.” It has not, in fact, been updated since July 31.

  3. I had no idea that opening a comic book store was such a simple, casual thing.

  4. I’m sorry – But a man writing a comic strip from a woman’s perspective? Loses some credibility for me. What do you female readers think?

  5. Okay, I read the whole thing and yeah, the sudden domestic violence is a bit jarring! weird. There isn’t really consensus in the comic’s forum about whether that’s what’s really going on, but it does seem like an awfully awkward place to pause… gives people a lot of time to wonder what’s going on…

Also, I’m a female, and it’s no biggie. It’s no worse than male authors have been doing for…ever?
