Delaney submitted this as a comic that’s not quite Arlo or Ewww material, but rather kind of creepy.

Lio is defenitely creepy. That’s what makes him so cool! This particular one is just his way of getting close to the girl that keeps rejecting him. He’s just got a crush on her and given his usual M.O. he finds an interesting (read creepy) way of accomplishing his goals. Go Lio!

As a regular Lio reader, I actually thought this one – when I saw it – was almost not creepy enough. That is, too close to kitsch! This you think is creepy?
In other words: Are you new to Lio or somethin’? This one’s nowhere close to creepy, this one’s sugar sweet! Almost too much so.

C’mon, Lio being a “furry” is way creepier than Lio being on good terms with various monsters and squigglies. I feel violated just reading this one…

Awwww … that’s sweet! Lio’s growing up, fell for a girl, and snuck into her room pretending to be her eviscerated carnivore toy. For Lio, this is SO cute!

There’s a Japanese movie I saw once, I do not remember the name, where the main character disguises himself as an easy chair and lives inside this woman’s apartment so she’ll sit on him. Very weird and creepy.

Lio is one of my very favorite strips, it is all the things already mentioned by others but often with a touch of innocence.
I will admit that this one is a little creepy in an Arlo-esque kinda way.
But while everyone is focusing one the trans-teddy aspect of the comic and how creepy that is, hasn’t anyone else noticed the first panel ? Lio who I imagine as roughly 7 or 8 years old, is actually a peeping tom (or peeping Lio). I find this equally or more creepy than the teddy dress up because this could actually happen.

I agree that this is way to sweet for Lio. For gosh sake there is a heart over Lio’s head in the last panel. A more appropriate Lio strip would have been him dressing up an octupus as a teddy bear and slipping that in the girl’s bed, with the last panel a tentacle wiggling out.

This is a cute comic. Do you think a child thinks creepy? Lots of children think of silly cute things such as this. Lio is not a full fledge adult. Now that would have been creepy. This is also a little romantic for a Lio comic. Lio likes her so much that just being next to her makes him so happy and loved.
