  1. For a minute there I thought Bill meant this as a CIDU, then I read the ‘headline’

Well — much like poop jokes, I think when a cartoonist runs out of ideas they often fall back on stereotypes.

Now if you will excuse me I have to go shopping

  2. The difference is, even in 2007, poop is still funny.

  4. In almost every family I know both adults work full-time. The wife spends her hard-earned money on essentials such as the mortgage, the utilities, and the groceries, while the husband spends his hard-earned money on essentials such as Nintendos, Playstations, Xboxes, personal computers, iPods, iPhones, Netflix, etc., etc. He then complains that she’s “wasting money” when she buys a pair of shoes or a purse out of her remaining funds.

Better yet, if they divorce he will invariably spend months loudly whining that she’s “taking his stuff”. Of course all the other men agree like a herd of sheep, none of them stopping for a second to consider that she paid for most of the stuff she “took” out of her own income.

  5. I know a couple where the wife finally got a job (McDonald’s), but instead of using her first paycheck for rent, groceries and stuff, she blew it on a tatoo. Didn’t even look good.

  6. Charlene,
You need to get some more enlightened friends ;). While I’m sure you’re speaking the truth (and I’ll admit to knowing some people who fit that mold), the idea that “women spend money on necessities while men waste it on gadgets” is just as much of a stereotype as “women are shopoholics who run up credit card debt” and is just as damaging. IMHO, that is.

  7. The real question is why isn’t the therapist wearing socks ?
