  3. Given the issue, that’s probably the best possible response … viscerally satisfying, intellectually indescribable.

  4. Notice he’s laughing at the other side of the page, it’s probably Ann Lander’s and the Thursday night’s T.V. schedule. There are newspaper editors still out there stupid enough to purchase Funky Funkywinkerbean? Now that’s funny!

  5. Some papers have two pages of comics.

I remember, back in the 90s, when the Washington Post had three pages of comics (this is in the daily paper, the Sunday paper had two sections of Sunday comics).

  7. Hahaha! Excellent comic. He should’ve had another paper with “FBOFW Character Nearing Death” as a headline, too.

  8. Maybe that’s the article he was actually reading.

  9. Remember that phrase from the CIDU page a week or so back? “Especially the comics pages. Because they always made you laugh. I guess that’s why they’re called the funnies.” Here’s a link to it, https://cidutest.wordpress.com/2007/09/30/the-funnies/ . I think this is a response to that comic, specifically. There is still someone out there who finds this within their vein of humor. Sure enough, the funnies always manage to make you laugh.
