“Jeremy, I’ve been driving for thirty years and I know it’s possible to have a discussion with somebody in the passenger seat without turning my head to look at him.”

Just saying…

  1. Depends on how badly your teenager is ticking you off.

  2. You’ve never met my kids, huh?

  3. My two siblings & I have each caused at least one minor accident by distracting a parent, though those were long ago now.

  4. I’m surprised my brother and I never did; but what I learned from that is not to let my kids make me take my eyes off the road, no matter what.

  5. TV characters frequently have long conversations while supposedly driving, with the “driver” not looking at the road for minutes at a time.

  6. That’s when I yell at the television screen, Morris.

One thing I like about this Zits sequence is that it shows a logical (and inevitable) consequence of driving a car while looking elsewhere.

  7. Y’know, expect for possibly the rear-view mirror comment, these are all valid criticisms… if she knows how to drive (after thirty years!) whe should be coming to a complete stop, using the indicators, and obeying the speed limit.

Especially with a teen boy in the passenger seat.

It looks like here thirty years’ experience is just the same year thirty times over.
