Of course to me it’s a CIDU because, you know, cats. I do have a feeling I’ll be suitably grossed out once all the cat people out there explain it to me.

The Arlo Page and Ewww Files archives. And what the heck, here’s the Cat Collection

  1. It’s way too late for the male cat to “grow a pair” because he’s been neutered.

  2. ..which also explains why he’s so easily pussy-whipped.

  3. Okay, I was just reading too much into that first panel. I thought there was more happening than Muffin just using a tap of her tail to shoo him away.

  4. And, I hasten to point out, the whole concept is a pun on Animal Planet’s show “Meerkat Manor”. =) Just for those who didn’t know.

  6. Excuse me — but shouldn’t the phrase ‘grow a pair’ have landed this on the Arlo! page. I mean it just isn’t used at the opera

Note to Bill — it had to be cats cause male snakes don’t have any to start with –they do have two penises though

  7. Snakes have two penises!? Well, that really puts a different spin on the old Garden of Eden story.

  8. The joke is that the “battle for control” is decided by a random twitch of the sleeping cat’s tail – i.e. the second cat is so skittish that it runs from nothing. Having seen this in real life, it’s in the mildly amusing category for me.
