So… The Patterson home doesn’t have a washing machine?

  1. I guess in this situation, the “mindless show” is not something on TV, but the spinning clothes.

My question is, why did she go to her parents’ house, if not to do her laundry there?

  3. The Patterson household is so huge that they have a laundromat in their basement.

  4. I think it’s that the Patterson house doesn’t bake pizza. By going to a laundromat next door to a pizzeria, she can do two loads at the same time.

  5. She came home planning to do laundry, but since her sister wanted to go out… they went out to do the laundry – not because they had to, but because they wanted to. And, yeah, I guess the mindless show is watching the clothes spin.

  6. Any cartoon that culminates with putting clothes in a washer does not deserve publication.
