  1. Tooth Fairy. Or in this case, Tusk Fairy, as a sting operation.

  2. Yeah, the Tooth Fairy has gone bad and is poaching ivory now. Of course, there won’t be much of him left to arrest if he’s shot with that gun, which is bigger than he is.

  3. Any purchase of new Ivory is illegal. Thus, the tooth fairy transaction in this case would be a crime.

  4. Death to the Toof Fairy! He’s tickled his last ivory!

  5. So are we to assume that the elephant has his tusks under his pillow?

  6. Nevermind. I just saw it there.

Looks like a good way to put an eye out, if you ask me, but then I’m a mom.

  7. I think the “tusk fairy” explanation makes the most sense, even though apparently the cartoonist’s mother never taught hir the simple rule I taught my son. Angels have white wings with feathers on them. Fairies have any other kind of wings.

Because that is not a fairy; it’s clearly an angel.

  10. A tusk fairy angel with a 5 O’clock shadow?

  11. I don’t get the tagline.
    What’s “99 44/100 % Pure” mean?

    Comment by Pete — December 5, 2007 @ 6:51 pm

  12. Pete: The slogan for Ivory soap claims that it’s “99 44/100 % Pure”.

  13. Thanks.

  14. …and the 99 44/100% pureness and supposedly the reason it floats.

  15. Yeah, this one I got the comic right away, then had to Google to figure out the tagline.
