I’m guessing it’s one of the few remaining portions of our anatomy that has yet to be accessorized? And it’s easier to draw than a pierced spleen 😛

Utterly lost. Is “tooth outfits” some sort of slang? Or maybe this is supposed to be like Gary Larson’s cartoon, “Cow Tools”.

I think this might be a joke that you either find funny just based on the weirdness, or you don’t find it funny just kind goofy. Gary Larson was a master of the ‘just funny because it is weird’ kind of comic. This one I am sad to say, does not live up to his standards

Well, some of my teeth have caps, others have crowns. Can more elaborate clothing be so far behind?

I just noticed the top teeth are all outfit tops and the bottom ones bottoms; heh-heh, when the teeth close, they come together. “Do it again, do it again! Close them daddy, pleeeease? Eeeeek!” (from dull to sweet; I love this site.)

well… some people (usually in the rap industry) have grillz… so if teeth have jewelry, shouldn’t they have clothes too?
Comment by Elizabeth — December 13, 2007 @ 10:46 am
It’s pretty common for people to accessorize their teeth with patterned grillz nowadays. Full suits can only be a small step away.

I seem to remember gags like this in old cartoons. A character would visit a doctor, who says your tongue is coated / has a coat, then a cut to a close up of the tongue with real coat on it. Does that sound familiar to anyone?

Hven’t you ever wakened up in the morning (usually after a particularly good night out before) with dreadful cottong mouth and feeling as if your teeth had little sweaters on them? These are the alternatives to sweaters.

Phil, Bugs Bunny definitely and I’ll bet there are others.

I remember the bugs bunny thing. but I still don’t really “get” the cartoon. I was going to say, “is it ‘dressed to the teeth’?” but it’s dressed to the NINES, anyway, right?!
who knows.

I can’t find the phrase anywhere in Google except for back here! I can’t even think of anything that sounds close, “Truth outfits”, “Two thought fits”, “To thou … tfits”… Except for the obvious visual gag, I’m not sure there is more to this one. It might be something that the author believed was a common phrase for dental work in general, but really turned out to be only in his family circle or town.

I’m more disturbed by the fact that some of the incisors seem to have boobs.

I seem to recall that Bugs Bunny’s tongue had not only a coat but two pair of pants.
