Yes I know what schadenfreude means. I just don’t understand how it relates to Santa and The Donald.
If Grandma had gotten run over by a reindeer, at least I’d have known what the joke was supposed to be; but…

Is there something specific happening here, or just an unspecified Chas Addams “Uh oh!” gag (which, personally, I find funnier)?

Just a reminder that instead taking up a lot of space with ads here, I’m trying something new: Since the old CIDU site (http://www.comicsidontunderstand.com) is serving no purpose other than directing people here who still have the old bookmark, I’m moving the ads there. If you’re so inclined, drop by once in a while. Maybe you’ll find something you like. Or interesting stuff you’ll want to click. Or not.

But is there actually a joke here?
I saw this really funny comic a few weeks ago, where a balloon vendor like this one says “What really makes me feel silly is when I’ve sold every balloon except for one.”

I thought this was very funny when I first saw it; but three people e-mailed me copies of it asking for explanations, so maybe it wasn’t as obvious as I thought.
It’s a reference to what the Wicked Witch of West’s guards were chanting as Dorothy and her friends were approaching the castle. To better refresh your memory, click here.

With a track record like that, would you brag?
Okay, at least we’re not talking about a strip that should have run 47 years ago; but seriously, either two weeks ago or not at all, you know?
Heck of a thing to mention to the kid who just learned he is your “mistake.”
I’m just sayin’…
