Either
1) The navigation system led the car to HIM, or
2) The navigation system guided him to the car without his even owning the car.
or something else…dunno.

Since he left the house for a loaf of bread ended a car dealership, he apparently believes a GPS will help him remember his errands. And he also presumably assumes it will tell him that car dealerships do not sell bread.

I hope the car dealership DOES indeed sell bread, for his sake atleast.

His car looks like it might be a hunk of junk. So, the GPS being smarter than he is, it led him to a car dealership. Forget the bread — this is where he REALLY needed to go!

He has a GPS device in his head!

The vehicle looks a bit like a loaf of bread – maybe there’s some joke here?

A loaf of break, a container of milk, and a stick of butter… A loaf of bread, a container of milk, and a stick of butter… A loaf of bread, an SUV with a navagational system, and a stick of butter… Hey IO did it! I remembered!

I first thought that the car guided him to the dealership so that he could sell the car to someone else with the deluxe navigational system as its main selling point. That seems kind of weak, though, and I prefer the explanation of him thinking the car led him there to buy the car. The bread isn’t specific, just that he was out on a small errand.

I think the new car somehow used its navigational system to lure him to the car lot.
