Is it my imagination, or has this been a pervasive theme in comics over the past few weeks?

Then again I think most of the comics have been Argyle Sweater, so maybe Scott Hilburn has been having issues — or, like Bil Keane claims to do, getting some of his ideas from his six-year-old son.

Mike Nifong, and Why the Justice System Is Going to the Dogs

Today, former Durham, North Carolina district attorney Mike Nifong began serving a 24-hour jail term for his role in the Duke University sexual assault case. On December 10, Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick will be sentenced to up to 5 years in prison — probably between a year and a year and a half — for financing, running and taking bets on a dogfighting ring.

This is, of course, where we place comics not for the young, the offendable, or many places of business. I’m trying to work out a way, using WordPress, to separate it from the main page. For now, I’ve placed it here and password-protected it (type in the first name of Bill Clinton’s girlfriend; if you don’t know it, you’re probably too young).

It’s a fairly clumsy solution, but it’ll do for now.
