A Punchline Saved is a Punchline Earned

Okay, am I the only one who expects Elly to go outside in the next panel and fly a kite in a lightning storm?

  1. That’s an insult to Ben Franklin’s memory!

I saw this before I saw the official Foob for today, I thought this had been photoshopped.

  3. Okay, the comic was barely amusing to me. But add your title and comment and it’s eligible for your LOL page.

  4. Have we ever gotten any indication that Elly is “young at heart,” or feels younger than she looks? She’s spent most of the past thirty years complaining about how old and fat she is (with a few exceptions, like when she and Connie were jogging together often, or the occasional periods of good judgement where she suddenly decided she didn’t care about her physical appearance). She’s never been happy with the way she looks; I don’t think she’s never not seen herself as “old.”

  5. Wow, Elly manages to look 80 without even really having any wrinkles or major lines in her face! I must look 100!

Also, I’ve heard that your cartilage (nose, ears) keeps growing throughout your lifetime, but from the looks of this strip, her nose is going to meet her ears in another 15 years!

  6. p.s. When did Elly change from being kinda cute (and sometimes very pretty) into being a muppet? http://www.fborfw.com/strip_fix/archives/002904.php

Meanwhile, Michael has turned into a supermodel: http://www.fborfw.com/strip_fix/archives/002924.php

  7. LOL at three things; the title, the comment, and the Muppet link!
